Our Vision
We see the people of The Grove Church:
- Seeking to passionately worship God and enjoy His manifest presence.
- Committing to organic authentic community.
- Obeying the life transforming word of God.
- Equipping and releasing our people into ministry.
- Reaching out to bring God’s love and healing to a broken world.
A grove is full of life, a place where people are drawn to enjoy shelter and shade. Groves also provide security and strength. Redwood groves, in particular, find their strength by grafting into each other’s roots in the ground. Because of this they are able to stand tall during violent winds and firestorms.
Our hope is for the people of the Grove to be fruitful in every season as they root down and develop organic relationships. We hope people will find acceptance in our church, a community where they can be themselves; a home where they feel like they belong to a family.
We desire to be a place full of life and reproduction, where people are reaching out to the community around them so that others may also find shade in the covering of God’s Word and abiding Presence we are enjoying.
Trees bear fruit and reproduce themselves quickly. An individual tree can produce an entire grove over time. We desire not only for the people of the Grove to be like fruitful trees, but also that the Grove itself would be like a healthy tree and would multiply exponentially.
Ps. 1:3- “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
